Read Dr Paul Oldfield’s article in BBC History Magazine (December 2016 issue) entitled ‘City Break in Medieval Europe’. It represents a brief overview of his current book project on medieval urban panegyric which is contracted to Oxford University Press, and which received funding via a British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship.
