Ragged University @ The Castle Hotel, Manchester
On 5th July (7.30pm), The Castle Hotel on Oldham St. will be hosting the inaugural Ragged University event in Manchester.
The Ragged University provides a platform for the free exchange of knowledge and skills in social spaces like pubs, cafes and libraries. In this event, Nick Dixon and Annie Harrison will talk about the ExtInked partnership project, an art and ecology project looking to protect Britain’s endangered species. This will be followed by a talk by one of the Ragged University’s founders, Alex Dunedin on ‘What are the Ragged Schools – where peer led learning came from’.
You can find out more about the event here and, as the organisers say: Everyone is welcome to come along to this free, open, informal education project so bring along your friends. This is all about relaxing, putting your feet up and finding out about what people are investing their lives in.
