Social History Society Conference 2013 – Call for Papers

Editors Note: This is an archived blog post from 16/8/2012.

The annual Social History Society Conference is the largest gathering of social and cultural historians in the UK. In 2013 the conference will take place at the University of Leeds from 25 to 27 March. Proposals for individual papers and panels are warmly invited from new and established researchers in the field.

The conference is organised around seven strands that cover a broad range of topics, themes and approaches. We particularly welcome proposals for papers and panels that focus on the early modern period and that extend social and cultural history beyond Britain.

There is a prize for the best postgraduate paper. Conference delegates are also invited to submit their papers for consideration for publication in Cultural & Social History: The Journal of the Social History Society.

The deadline for submission of conference abstracts is 26 October 2012.

To submit an abstract and for further details of the conference strands and of the Social History Society, please visit their website.

You can follow the SHS on Twitter @ socialhistsoc and find them on FB.
