In celebration of the School’s continuing collaboration with the Institut Ramon Llull’s mission to promote Catalan language and culture internationally the following programme of events is planned for WEDNESDAY 16 NOVEMBER in the Samuel Alexander Building, Oxford Road, University of Manchester, Manchester

4.30 Formal signing of agreement to further consolidate Catalan Studies in the University and the region, preceded by short presentations by the Director of the Institut Ramon Llull, Vicenç Villatoro, and representatives of the School (Room A215)

5.00 Special Guest Lecture by Professor Angel Smith, University of Leeds: “Catalan Nationalism: an Overview” (Room A215)

6.20 Reception (Whitworth Hall lobby)
