June 20 conference ‘Objects and Remembering’

You are cordially invited to attend a one-day conference on ‘Objects and Remembering‘ being held on the 20th June in the Graduate School, Ellen Wilkinson, room C1.18 from 9am-5pm.

The conference is open to all and is of particular interest to arts researchers and heritage professionals. We are pleased to be hosting postgraduates, academics and heritage professionals from all over the UK, who will be speaking on different aspects of the relationship between objects, memory and remembering. Papers are from history, archaeology, arts and visual studies, English literature and beyond.

Registration is free but essential: tea/coffee and a wine reception are provided for all delegates and the conference includes the option of a guided tour around the Whitworth park dig exhibition, at the nearby Manchester Museum.
